We will start with juices which are very popular and widely available in shops. Many of them advertise as healthy and dietary. The question is whether they certainly have slimming properties. The matter is complex, but it is actually limited to two issues. First, it is advisable to know the label of such a product. The second question is knowing how the individual ingredients, in this case fruit and vegetables, work.
Knowing the label will allow you to verify whether a given juice is actually fit and whether there are no unhealthy 'fillers' in it. It is very important to pay attention to the presence of sugar or its substitutes. As a rule, it is usually cheap juices from popular supermarkets and discount stores that are even filled with the latter. undoubtedly, they will not help loss weight but they canl even be harmful. They are usually drunk in larger quantities. And here we come to the second point.
Fruit to be avoided on a diet

Sugar is often added to dried fruit, especially those bought in big shops. The second addition, and not infrequently used in excess, is sulphur dioxide. It is a preservative and prevents the product from spoiling quickly. But in excess it causes, among other things, vomiting. The brighter the dried fruit is, the more this additive is added. Such fruit should therefore be avoided.
Before we focus on those which help to lose weight, one more thing. Fruit is a substitute for sweets in our diet. This is quite a common custom. We must give up the latter, but it is usually the case that we choose a substitute. And with the aforementioned fruit it is like with sweets in the fight against excessive kilograms. If you happen to eat them in small quantities, slimming 'does not collapse. There is the question of moderation.
Why and which fruit has a positive effect on slimming?
To begin with, we will focus on the first part of this question. The fruit contains certain vitamins and elements that help to lose weight. This is on several levels. They influence the metabolism. They support the intestines. They also have a direct impact on burning fat tissue. In this case, it is important to pay attention to the content of vitamin C in the fruit. It is this component that speeds up fat burning. It is also a mobilising factor in the metabolism.
Another ingredient to which fruit one should pay attention is the B group vitamins. Not all its components directly affect weight loss. We will focus on a different property. Fruits containing B vitamins have a positive effect on the nervous system. In a nutshell, they improve mood. And without feeling good, one can forget about effective elimination of excessive kilos.
Magnesium is also an important component in the fight against overweight. And here, from a chronicler's duty, it should be written that the fruit is not too rich in this element. But there are several sources of it. How does magnesium support weight loss? It influences the regulation of blood glucose levels. When it is provided in food, it also has a bearing on the rate of fat burning.
Fruit is of course also fibre. It is the biggest and closest friend of people struggling with overweight. Firstly, it provides a feeling of satiety and protects against eating. Fibre is responsible for regulating the absorption of carbohydrates and fats. In general, it supports the work of the digestive system.
What kind of fruit do you eat on your diet?
- Apples - one of the most recommended fruits on a diet. This is due to the high content of the above-mentioned fibre. There are even monodietes based on apples, but it is better to avoid such methods. This fruit has a low glycemic index. Therefore, it can be included in the diet without fear. By the way, you will benefit from their other properties. Among other things, apples help to keep your teeth in good condition, as well as being an element of cancer prevention.
- Pears - in this case, we will start with a little bit of attention. The more ripe the pears (juicy, soft, "pouring" on your chin), the less you should eat them. They have a lot of sugar, which - as you know - does not help to get rid of overweight. And why is it worth eating this fruit at all? Because they contain a lot of fibre. By the way, pears are one of the few fruits containing iodine. Without the latter, your thyroid gland may have a big problem.
- Currants are a small fruit that contains huge amounts of vitamin C. It is usually mentioned in the context of this citrus component. Both the red and black varieties have a slimming effect. The latter also has properties that accelerate the burning of fat tissue.
- Blackberries - fruit with a very low Glycemic Index. For this reason, they are recommended for people struggling with diabetes. They are an excellent source of fibre. So it helps to reduce body weight. Blackberries are "strongly" seasonal, but there is a way to avoid this problem. We'll talk about it later.
- Avocado - in limited quantities, because it is calorific. It contains a lot of healthy fatty acids which is essential in a weight-loss diet. Avocado also provides a feeling of satiety for longer. It therefore contributes to limiting snacking between meals.
- Grapefruit - the only citrus in this list. The reason is simple. It supports the fight against overweight in this group best. Grapefruit, thanks to the presence of certain ingredients, greatly accelerates metabolism. It also has a huge, positive of course, influence on detoxification of the organism. It also has a low Glycemic Index.
- Prickly pear - it is not only attributed with properties which support weight loss. Prickly pear is widely used in natural medicine. It also has care skills. Prickly pear oil supports the hairstyle. In our case, it accelerates the metabolism.
Is frozen fruit and slimming a good idea?
Many of the above mentioned products are characterized by their seasonality. The question is therefore very well founded. The answer to it is simple. You benefit most from the advantages of frozen food in late autumn and winter. The ideal solution is to prepare them yourself in the summer. However, frozen food products purchased have the advantage that their usefulness for consumption is longer. This is the result of using a lower freezing temperature.
